WPF Documentation & Samples from Windows SDK
When you have installed the Windows SDK it installs a 46 MB zip file that holds a bunch of samples.
On my machine, it was installed to: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0\Samples\WPFSamples.zip
Windows Vista didn’t seem to want to allow me to unzip these samples into the Samples directory, so after trying a few times, I decided to install them under my Visual Studio\Projects folder under my documents folder. (Is it just my machine, or is unzipping this file taking a very long time. Vista bug? I’ll investigate…)
Update 9/5: we have reproduced this problem on several machines with WCFSamples.zip & WPFSamples.zip. When the online sdk (RC1) goes live, it will have an EXE that can work around this problem.
If you didn’t install the SDK, you can read documentation and samples from http://windowssdk.msdn.microsoft.com. This content is now the new RC1 docs + samples.
The WPF node within the documentation starts here.
