Times Reader Review from Slate.com

September 19, 2006

Glowing review of the Times Reader from Slate.com’s Jack Shafer! 🙂

…I too enjoy reading the Times on this Microsoft (can’t believe I’m saying this) software. Just like Jack, I’m hard pressed to find anything wrong with this, other than not having the Book Review a part of it. This is the best advancement to reading online since…well, since computers came out…

Wow!

Have you tried it yet?

  • Earlier, I linked to a number of other discussions.
  • New writeup on EditorsWeblog.org says that it won’t have much adoption since Tablet doesn’t have many users…  Slate.com did say that Tablet usage was great.  I use it on a Laptop.  Tablet, Laptop and Desktop use should all be great.  Yes, tablet is the best form factor for siting on a couch and reading.
  • I read in the post and comments about problems that Ryan Stewart is having, not install issues, but getting the feed from the NY Times…  We want to get to the bottom of these issues…thus the beta.
